Matthew Rasmussen

Service Officer

I have been a premed student for a year and a half. I have a special interest in volunteering and have been with a number of different groups. I will apply to med school during summer 2023, and hope to be in some sort of surgical specialty.

Hailey Ayre

Service Officer

My name is Hailey Ayre and I am from Draper, Utah, studying Chinese and Chemistry! In my time at BYU, I have been a research assistant in Dr. Bruce Bailey’s lab studying the effects of fasting and intermittent fasting on things such as sleep, activity, and glucose and ketone levels, and I currently work as a Chinese medical interpreter helping patients and providers all over the country. As I hope to be specialize in pediatrics, I have also spent the last year volunteering at the Crisis Respite Nursery helping underprivileged children. I am so excited to work in the healthcare field and am grateful for the opportunity to assist other students along this difficult but rewarding journey. If I’m not studying, you can find me at the gym, skiing, playing guitar or teaching people some sweet pick-up lines in Chinese.
